Where did it all start?
Back in ‘97 a man named Alain used to sell honey and bees wax at the markets at Seaforth, a beachside community in North Queensland.
One weekend a customer mentioned some oil she used that kept sandflies away. Alain decided to experiment with oil in his bees wax, looking for a successful by–product.
After preparing many samples in his home kitchen in the hilly bushland surrounds of Kuttabul, near Mackay, and testing them at the beach with his daughter, Alain decided he had a winner. His sandfly repellent was an almost-instant success.
Anything for itchy bites?
What a dream!
After the popularity of sandfly repellent, market goers started asking if Alain had something to stop itching.
Months later he dreamed about a concoction of ingredients that actually worked. MORE experimenting took place. Alain mixed, was bitten and applied his cream. Seaforth was again his testing ground. Another success!
His dream cream has now been used by many happy customers for a variety of skin ailments.
And now?
Alain’s sandfly repellent and his treatment for itchy bites are now being manufactured professionally, but still in Queensland. After extensive hard work the family owned and operated small business is able to provide their great products to a much wider community.
